  11. Sorry for the sensational headline!  Colin Andrews, a crop circle
  12. "personality" and purveyor of dubious research, was recently in the UK to
  13. promote his latest venture, a big crop circle investigation apparently
  14. funded by the UN.  I debated him on the radio, but forgot to ask how much
  15. he was getting.  The point of this posting is to draw the attention of any
  16. interested NYC skeptics to the fact (?) that he will be addressing the UN
  17. on October 21st about crop circles.  Perhaps you NYC skeptics would care to
  18. counter his nonsense with some facts - assuming you are not too heavily
  19. occupied already!  I will send more info on the subject to people who email
  20. me directly.

  42. Colin Andrews, author of the best-selling book 'Circular Evidence', and
  43. formerly from Andover, is flying out of America on Tuesday (25th May) and
  44. will spend until 28th August in Hampshire and Wiltshire, UK, with the
  45. largest gathering of international scientists yet, to further investigate
  46. the Crop Circles.  He will fly to make presentations in a number of
  47. countries during the period, including Malta, Ireland, Iceland and the USA.
  48. The research project will include measuring the electrostatic field and the
  49. Magnetic field at sites in Hampshire and Wiltshire.  Very secret projects
  50. involving well-known mediums will also be undertaken and has [sic(k)] been
  51. planned by Scientists who discovered unusual markings and geometry on Mars
  52. [guess who].  These findings were presented to the United Nations in New
  53. York during summer 1992, by Dick Hoagland - NASA consultant.  Colin can
  54. update you further when he arrives in the UK.

  57. America.  It relates to Colin Andrews' address to the United Nations, which
  58. has now been officially announced for 21st October 1993 at UN headquarters
  59. in New York.

  67. Mohammad Ramadan, president of the parapsychological group [!] at the
  68. United Nations who recently sponsored Richard Hoagland's presentation to
  69. the U.N. on the Mission to Mars, met Colin Andrews at the United Nations
  70. building in New York several months ago.  At the meeting, Mr. Ramadan set
  71. Colin the almost impossible challenge of discovering the meaning behind the
  72. crop circles and ancient writings, the findings of which to be presented at
  73. the U.N. in October.  Many front line research contacts have already been
  74. drawn up to assist in bringing together the vast data pool of information
  75. by research groups and governments around the world.

  77. Numerous governments have studied and collected information related to the
  78. UFO and the Crop Circles.  they have clearly found it difficult, if not
  79. impossible, to make any public statement on matters associated with both.
  80. Unusual patterns, assumed as writings (i.e. languages) have appeared in
  81. fields in the form of crop markings and have been scratched on metallic
  82. surfaces following alleged abduction cases.  These etchings resemble
  83. markings on Sumerian Tablets and petroglyphs on stone and rocks in several
  84. parts of the world.  The mammoth task is to try and place these together
  85. and see if there is a cohesive message [and the researchers can practise on
  86. any of Mr. Andrew's "books"].  Those who claim extraterrestrial contact and
  87. communication with such through symbols are to be part of the four month
  88. blitz on the world's data bank.  this may represent one of the first
  89. opportunities to bring major information regrading such events into the
  90. realm of the public through a non-political figure under the auspices of
  91. the U.N. Ultimately a situation of such immense proportion must certainly
  92. be addressed through the resources of this assemblage.

  106. that it's not worth putting a skeptical viewpoint, but if anyone in NYC
